Relay frames represent the structural foundation of relay-based railway signalling and safety systems, designed for the installation and interconnection of relay groups and individual relays.
They are mounted on supports and firmly fixed to the floor and walls of the equipment room, ensuring mechanical stability and long-term system reliability.
Construction and Organization
On the supports of the relay frames, in the upper section, standardized devices are installed. These units are factory-wired and designed to accommodate specific relays and relay groups.
The frames are additionally reinforced with structural supports and equipped with cable bridges arranged on multiple levels, enabling:
- Clear and organized installation layout
- Separation of functional subsystems
- Easier maintenance and servicing
System Power Supply
On the side of the first frame in each row, there are 20 power supply busbars, through which voltage is distributed to each row of frames.
Inside the frames, there are an additional 12 power supply busbars, from which the required voltages are selected depending on the type of frame and its functional purpose.
This configuration enables flexible and reliable power supply to all system components.
System Integration
Standardized relay groups and relays are installed on the relay frames.
The frames are connected by cables to:
- the intermediate distribution frame
- the main distribution frame
This ensures complete functional and electrical integration within the railway signalling and safety system.
